INSTRUCTONS TO THE MEMBERS AND CANDIDATES;

(Regulation 22 relating to Elections Procedure)

1. Every person whose nomination is filed shall be proposal duly signed by TWO Members whose names are included in the eligible Voters List, and all the Nominations shall contain a Statement by the Persons making the Nomination to effect that the Member nominated by them for election has agreed to serve the Association.

2. Every person who files Nomination shall sign in the prescribed form undertaking that Code of Conduct will be adhered to by him during the election and while in the Office.

3. Persons who files Nominations/Candidates not to canvass within 100 yards of the Polling Station, and any other condition as stipulated by the election Officer for time being.

4. Any Contesting Candidate or his agents commits any malpractice in election process it shall be treated as “MIS CONDUCT” as per Advocates Act 1961.

5. The Contesting Candidates shall not advertise through Wall Posters, hordings, banners, news papers, SMS through mobile phones etc.Advertisements through Cinema slides and T.V.Advertisements is strictly prohibited. The Candidates shall not to make any promises and offer gifts to the Bar Association or individuals, and they shall not address any public meetings except within the premises of the Bar Association. The Candidates shall neither host any parties nor get parties hosted by some body else.

6. The Candidates can seek votes by sending inland letters/Post Cards or letters of post card size and such letters shall not contain any promises except about his candidature.

7. Every Voter shall produce his Identity Card issued by the Bar Association/Bar Council of State of Andhra Pradesh.

8. Any member/Voter found in consultation at the polling station shall be asked to leave the Polling station without casting his/her vote.

9. No Candidate shall contest for more than one post, but may file Nominations for more than one post.

10. The Member who is in arrears of subscription as on the date of publication of final list of voters shall not be included in the voters list, and further that a Member who is defaulted in retuning of library books shall also be not included in the voters list.

11. The members are entitled to get any information relating to elections as a matter of right in accordance with the Right to Information Act.

12. Any other instructions at the discretion of election Officer in accordance with the circumstances for time being to advance the process of election.
